2018 Crucial Crew 7.3.18

On 7th March 2018, Yr6 accompanied by Mrs Easter travelled with fellow Yr6 children from the Nar Valley Federation to Letton Hall, Shipdham to take part in 'Crucial Crew', an interactive safety initiative aimed at 10/11 year olds that recreates situations of crime and danger. The workshops were led by professionals including the Emergency Services and St John's Ambulance.

The children participated in a range of realistic situations in order to raise their awareness of what they can do to increase their own and others safety.

Actvities included:

• Safer Internet, cyber bullying
• First aid and recovery position
• Stranger Danger
• Fire hazards around the home
• How to be prepared if you had to leave your home in an emergency
• Road safety
• Beach safety

The children thoroughly enjoyed their experience and learned lots from the afternoon.
