Castle Acre Primary School

2018 Jaya Dance Workshop

On May 9th 2018, we were very lucky to have Tina from Jaya Dance visit us.

The children learnt how to write their names in Punjabi and how to greet one another. Alongside this, the children had the opportunity to dress up in traditional costumes and to learn a dance from a Bollywood film. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon. Many thanks to the 'Friends' for funding such a fantastic event.

"It was so much fun learning Bhangra dancing. Nina was our instructor and she taught us how to say 'hello' in Punjabi, which is 'Nameste'."- Evie

"We dressed up and wore bindis on our foreheads. It was an amazing day!" - Elisha
