Castle Acre Primary School

Houghton Hall

We went to Houghton Hall on the 22nd November 2019 to look at seasonal changes which we have been learning about in class this term!

We travelled to Houghton Hall on the coach and headed straight to the Courtyard when we arrived.

We spent the day exploring the Walled Garden and looking for seasonal changes in the garden. The garden was beautiful, we saw plenty of trees, water fountains and plenty of fruit and vegetable plants too! We collected signs of Autumn for our Journey Stick pictures (take a look at some of them in our gallery!) and had a go at sketching some of the signs of Autumn we could see.

In the afternoon, we had a go at creating our own Puppet Shows using puppets we made during the week. We used our puppets to create an autumnal puppet show just like Miss Gannon and Miss Everett showed us!

We were lucky enough to see one of the Art exhibitions at Houghton Hall based on Light, which is our topic at the moment!

We had lots of fun looking at the signs of Autumn/Winter! We hope to go back some time!
