English:

This week is world book week, (world book day is officially Thursday) so, you are all going to become authors and write your own books!

This week, we are going to be taking inspiration from the author of the ‘How to train your dragon’ series, Cressida Cowell.

Watch the two videos below, to learn a bit about Cressida Cowell and to hear the prologue and the first chapter of ‘How to train your dragon.’

I have also uploaded a copy of the text for the prologue and chapter 1 for you to refer to. It doesn’t have the illustrations, therefore the page numbers are different.

Science:

Another chance to get creative and messy! This week, you are going to have a go at making skin, bones and muscles using items you should be able to find at home. Follow the instructions on the PDF below to make a model showing bones, muscles and skin. Can you take a photo/draw a diagram of your model, labelling each part and clearly explain the function of bones, muscles and skin. Remember to use the correct scientific vocabulary in your explanations.
