LO: write a recount about our half term break

This week we will continue to look at letter writing but today we would like you to take some time to reflect upon and write about your half term break.  You might like to think about something that has happened on each day and write your recount like a diary entry?  You may just choose 3 or 4 days to write about or you might concentrate on one or two particular activities that were special to you.

Whichever style you choose, please don’t forget capital letters and punctuation!  Will there be any headings or illustrations?

You might like to think about:

  • What was the best thing you watched?  Why?
  • If you were able to go out for a walk – where did you go and can you remember 5 different things that you saw?  Why did you choose these 5 things?
  • Did you make anything?  This could be a craft activity, construction or cooking?
  • Did you help anyone at home with anything?
  • What is your favourite thing to do in the garden?
  • Which was the best book that you read or shared at home?  Why?
  • Did you discover that you can now do something that you could not do before?

Below is a link that takes you to Miss Taylor outlining the activity for today.

Why did the people refuse to fight for King Zhou?

PE

Today you are going to design a 5 station fitness circuit with different exercises in each area. Draw or describe the exercise in each box. Use one box as a rest station.

Think about what types of exercises that you may wish to include or who the circuit is designed  for. Think about some of the fitness  exercises that you have been doing over the past couple of weeks, you may want to choose one or two of them to include in your circuit. Can you complete the circuit inside or outside? How long would  each exercise be completed for- 30 secs, 1 minute..? how many do they complete in the given time?

There is a template attached below if you wish to use it or you could just simply plan and design it on a piece of paper.
