Daily learning tasks for Monday

Spellings: 

Use the powerpoint below with the children to explore the rules for adding prefixes and how they change the meaning of words. (Spellings _Rule 18 prefies).

Read for pleasure: Spend 10-15 minutes (or more if you want) reading something for pleasure. It could be a story, poem, play, information text, comic, graphic novel or online text/kindle/e-reader. You could also read to a younger or older sibling.

English: Reading

Guidance: work through the relevant powerpoint below with the children (Note: there is a separate powerpoint for year 5 and year 6. They can record responses to the questions in their exercise books as they go.

Year 5: R4f. Can empathise with a character's motives and behaviours

Year 6:  R5a: Can search for simple clues within the text to support ‘reading between the lines’

Maths:
