Welcome to Week 2 - it's a short one this week so hang on in there everybody! :-)

Practise reading and writing the tricky word ‘you’. Identify the tricky part is the ‘ou’ part as we say the sound ‘ew’ in you. Could you write a sentence with the tricky word 'you' in? 

Tricky word treasure hunt! Write the following words on pieces of paper and hide them around the house/garden. Have your child find the words and read them to you. Can they spell the word when the card is turned over?

Tricky words: he, she, me, be, you, they, was, no, go, the 

Handwriting: Practise writing the following letters:

a, e, o, l, c, u

Pages 5 & 6 in Maths Workout book (There was a bit of of confusion on pages on Friday, so if you haven't done so already try and complete pages 3 & 4 too!) 

Let's get counting: Can you count to 20? Can you count back from 20?

Help with the housework!

Can you help sort the clean clothes? Who do they belong to? Can you deliver them to the right place in the house? Pair up socks by matching the colours/patterns, practise counting in 2s – how many socks are there altogether? Help to peg the washing on the line (this will help with your hand strength which will help with your writing!).

P.E: If you haven’t done so already, watch and take part in one of Joe Wicks' workout!

Can you design your own workout for 20 minutes? Are there any dance moves you could add to it to make it even more lively? Remember to put those crucial 30 second rests in between each exercise! 

Write down your workout in your topic book so that you don’t forget about it! You could draw pictures too!

Can you create a mask of one of the characters from the story?  Ask your adult to ask you questions (as the character from the book), can you answer the questions in role of the character you chose?

Write the numbers 20 – 35 in words and digits!

Write in 2s, 5s and 10s. up to 50.

Are there any numbers which are in all 3 of these sequences?
