Parent Assembly - Mountains - December 2019

The topic for this half term in Oak Class has been 'Mountains'. On Wednesday 11th December, we held an Assembly to showcase our work. The children spoke about the different types of mountains and demonstrated how they are formed using flour, chocolate cornflake cake, wooden blocks, a balloon and a piece of cloth.

They also described the features and symbols of an OS map and how a six figure reference number is used to locate places of interest. Some fabulous pieces of mountain themed artwork (collage, pastel and watercolour) were also on display. It was lovely to see so many parents and family members present.
