Spend 5 minutes practising your spellings.

Y1 - choose two of your spelling words and write a sentence for each.

Y2 - choose four of your spelling words and write a sentence for each.

Watch the Little boat animation video that you watched yesterday. Whilst you are watching it I want you to imagine you are travelling on the boat. Look back at the words you chose yesterday to describe the journey of the boat. Choose a part of the journey and imagine what you might be thinking if you were on the boat. Write a thought bubble to show your thoughts. For example you might write 'I wish people wouldn't throw their rubbish into the sea. It's so dangerous and I'm worried that the sea creatures might get hurt.' Y2 please choose two different parts of the journey and write a thought bubble for each part. Can you try to use a question mark and  / or an exclamation mark in your writing? You might like to draw yourself on the boat and write your thought bubble next to the picture. I have attached a thought bubble to remind you what one looks like.

Spend 5 or 10 minutes on a game of your choice from Daily ten

Y1 - Write a sequence of six numbers that count up and back in 2's, 5's or 10's. Choose any number from 1 -100 that we use when we count in 2's, 5's or 10's.

Here are some examples:

6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16.                   42, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32

25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50.             60, 55, 50, 45, 40, 35

Y2 - Look at the Toy shop sheet attached. You can choose to spend up to 50p or £1. You need to buy three toys to take to a party. How many different combinations of toys could you buy with your 50p or £1? Write down the possibilities as an addition calculation in your books. The sheets are attached below.
