Spellings: Rule 23:cial or tial?

Use the powerpoint below to revise the rule for adding the suffixes 'cial' or 'tial'. Then practice spelling some of the words on the last slide. Can you choose the right suffix? (Please don't do them all at once, 10 a day is plenty!)

Quick Write: Using a colon to start a list

Use the image in the powerpoint for inspiration to write a sentence using a colon to introduce items in a list. Remember to try to include descriptive vocabulary (e.g. adjectives, powerful verbs) to make your sentence more interesting.

English: Relative clauses

These interactive lessons are from the natural curriculum website. Clicking on the links will take you to the relevant webpage.  The children need to work through each of the 4 parts (see the tabs at the bottom…1- Learning objective, 2- The Grammar bit, 3- Whiteboard challenge, 4- Writing ideas.) There is a downloadable worksheet on the writing ideas page for children to complete, which you can also find at the bottom of this page. This can be printed for children to work on, or alternatively children could write their answers on paper/in a book.
