Useful Weblinks for KS2 Children

At the moment, social media is understandably swamped with links to free home learning resources for parents: some are excellent in quality; others not so good. With so much available, it may be difficult to decide which ones are the best to investigate and use at home.

Therefore in this section, I'm going to post links to websites and apps that I believe are worth sharing and exploring with your child. I hope you find them useful!

My Top Recommendations

The school pays for a subscription for the EdShed website. This website has two main sections: one for practising basic numeracy skills known as the Maths Shed and one for spelling known as the Spelling Shed. On this website the children can practise theirkey skills while competing against their classmates on a league table; they can also earn points to 'dress up' their chosen avatar. Your child's login in details were sent home in the home learning packs.

For high-quality, daily maths lessons which will deliver new learning appropriate for your child's age and stage, try the White Rose Maths home learning resources.

Spelling Frame is a brilliant website for practising spelling rules. I highly recommend working through the FREE spelling rule activities for your child's year group. Please note the free content is sufficient to practise the rules, and I wouldn't recommend paying for the extra games.
