World Book Day 2.3.17

Today we have been celebrating World Book Day. Everyone dressed up as a book character and brought in a book to share. We enjoyed a very informative circle time where the children spoke about their book to encourage others to read it. They produced a front cover and a synopsis of a favourite book or one that they made up. They researched different authors websites, looking for new releases, activities or watched clips of the authors reading excerpts of their books or reciting poetry.

Parents were invited in to class to share their favourite book from their childhood. We heard about 'The Worst Witch' by Jill Murphy, The Diddakoi by Rumer Godden and 'The Little White Horse' by Elizabeth Goudge.
